About Home Turf Advantage – a small batch fertilizer company with over 25 years of experience in building maintenance. We specialize in soil testing and batch blending fertilizers according to specific soil tests conducted. After 25 years of providing services for properties in Northeast Wisconsin and the Fox Valley, we are developing our own brand of fertilizers and weed control products for the DIY segment in our area. We are continuously developing strategies to maintain your property to the highest standard, while delivering it at an affordable rate.
Owner operated for 25 years and counting. Over the past twenty five years I have used almost every combination of herbicide, insecticide, fertilizer, and fungicide on the market. I will attempt to break down each chemical and what they stand for and how they work on your property. Coming soon – HTA app and improved website transformed from services orientated to DIY orientation, homogeneous prill and garden fertilizers.
Home Turf Advantage is developing Footprint Plant Food in 2024. We will be selling turf packages for the 2025 season starting fall of 2024. We will be starting soil testing in the fall of 2024 to have fertilizers ready for the spring of 2025.
HTA Footprint Plant Food will do this for you.
First, We soil test the piece of property that we are looking to maintain. We take samples of the soil throughout the property.
Ship samples to the state testing facility and wait for results.
Analyse results from soil sample
Blend Plant food for desired plants and amount needed
Deliver at perfect time for customer to apply.
DIY starts here. What do you need to do to have great fertilizer? Download our app and get some pricing. We can educate you why our fertilizers are the best but you can also sign up and get started with minimal knowledge of our products. When you product comes there will be a little tutorial to get you started.
Our programs are designed with your expectations first. Mind boggling choices from the big box store are defeating and a waste of time. Go through our step by step questionnaire and your program will be developed, blended and delivered with minimal input. Calibration and application are simplified so no heavy mathematics to get rid of your weeds.

Entrepreneur since I was 12 years old. I enjoy boating (especially sailing), hiking, building things, organizing things, snowboarding….pretty much anything outdoors and last but not least driving fast.
I started this company in 1999 with an old truck/trailer and a brand new Scag walk behind 52″ mower. I was a solo operator with part time help for 8 years. Decided to get big and failed more times than I care to count. Concentrating on data and good business practices, we have grown Home Turf Advantage to be a well-respected name in the industry.
Our team is like family to me…as well as my wife, my son, and my mother all work here. We have diversified over the years and have great things in store for our clients in the future.
